In PC Water Cooling Beginner’s Guide – Prep Work I outlined the main components of the custom water cooled PC build. In this part of the guide I continue on the prep work portion of the build, outlining the cases/enclosures I chose for each phase of the project. I will include short write ups regarding each components. Full reviews of each product including pictures will be available in upcoming posts.
Phase 1 Case – DimasTech Bench/Test Table Easy V3.0
Phase 1 of my water cooling beginner’s guide involves testing of the major PC components on a test bench. The test bench I selected for this build is the DimasTech Bench/Test Table Easy V3.0. I chose this test bench mainly because the quality seemed high and the company is well regarded.
Phase 2 Case – Phanteks Enthoo Luxe Full Tower
Phase 2 of my water cooling beginner’s guide will leave me with a working PC cooled by an all-in-one water cooling unit. This will allow me to benchmark the PC components and get a good feel for the working system prior to custom cooling. For this phase of the project I chose the Phanteks Enthoo Luxe Full Tower (PH-ES614L_WT) based on a number of factors. First, the case was well reviewed and could handle all of the components for phase 2 easily. Second, the case is full featured and has excellent cable management capabilities. Finally, I really like the way it looks.
Phase 3 Case – Case Labs Merlin SM8
Phase 3 of my water cooling beginner’s guide is the final stage of my build. This is where I will be adding the custom water cooling components into the build. For this phase I chose to go with the company that is widely regarded as the best when it comes to PC cases and enclosures – Case Labs. I chose the Merlin SM8 case along with a pedestal.
